Norman was born in Arbroath, Scotland. At the age of 24 he was awarded a scholarship to train at the
London Academy of Performing Arts where he graduated in musical theatre.

Theatrical credits include: Marius in Les Misérables (West End and UK tour); Frederick in The Pirates of Penzanc with Paul Nicholas (UK tour); Prince Charming in Cinderella (Hackney Empire); Tony Candelino in Masterclass with Jane Lapotaire (UK tour); various roles including Anthony, Claudio and Malvolio in Love, Lust and Jealousy Under a Mediterranean Sky (a collection of Shakespearean scenes for the Budua Arts Festival, Montenegro); Tony in West Side Story (UK tour); Artie in Sunset Boulevard (UK tour); Munkustrap in Cats (UK tour); Danny in Grease (UK tour); Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls (West End); Billy Bigelow in Carousel (Chichester Festival Theatre); Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Jack in Lady Be Good (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre); Officer Starnes and Watson in Parade (Donmar Warehouse); Coach Bolton in High School Musical (Hammersmith Apollo); Alvaro in Alvaro’s Balcony (Landor Theatre); Curio in Twelfth Night (Wyndham’s Theatre) and, most recently, Sam Carmichael in Mamma Mia! at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

Concerts include: Rodgers and Hammerstein Gala Concert for the BBC at Chichester Festival Theatre; The Magic of Broadway (Blackpool) and Night at the Musicals (Taiwan). Norman has also been involved in the following recordings: Pack Up Your Troubles, Song Divine and a rendition of James Brown’s ‘This Is a Man’s World’ for the soundtrack recording of Don’t Look Back feature film.

Film and television credits include: The Hessen Affair (Corsan Films); Mr 11 (Tiger Aspect for ITV); Holby City (BBC); Don’t Look Back (Undercover Productions) and Los Dos Bros (Hat Trick Productions).
